The Original range provides a nutritionally complete and balanced diet. Each product has been designed to meet the daily dietary needs of a specific species. To help you decide whether a particular food gives your pet all the nutrition it requires, we have included a Recommended Daily Allowance panel on the front of each bag. Supreme is the first pet food company in the world to include such a panel on its packaging. This also represents a guarantee of consistency and quality that no other manufacturer can match.
To check the Recommended Daily Allowances your pet requires, simply refer to the RDA panels. This will show you that the recipe contains everything your pet needs for a healthy diet.
All the Original recipes aim to get the right balance of ingredients to suit each pet. In each case, ingredients are matched to the pet’s needs for protein (for growth), carbohydrates (for energy), fibre (for digestion and to keep teeth healthy), oils (for healthy skins and glossy coats) or vitamins and minerals (for bones, teeth and skin).
Always ensure that water and hay (where recommended) are available. With muesli style mixes you should ensure that the first portion has been completely eaten before feeding the second.
Russel Rabbit Original
A tasty muesli-style mix which stimulates a rabbit’s appetite and foraging instincts, with a selection of ingredients ideally suited to keep it healthy and satisfied. Alfalfa is included for fibre, calcium and other vegetables are included to provide the necessary protein, vitamins and minerals. Its special formulation will keep your rabbit fit, inside and out.
Russel Rabbit Original with Carrot & Leek
This recipe includes these garden vegetables as a natural source of the antioxidants β-carotene and vitamin E to help support a healthy immune system. A tasty muesli-style “gourmet” mix which stimulates a rabbit’s appetite without using any artificial colours or added sugars.
Russel Junior Original
Younger rabbits (4 – 20 weeks) need higher protein and fibre than their senior counterparts. Russel Junior contains all the nutritious elements of Russel Rabbit Original but with a little added protein and fibre.
Gerty Guinea Pig Original
Delicious ingredients such as maize, oats, wheat, beans and alfalfa make this a nutritionally complete and balanced diet for guinea pigs. Vitamin C (250mg/kg) is a necessary and important component specifically added for the health of guinea pigs, since they cannot produce their own.
Harry Hamster Original
Officially the first and only food to be approved by the National Hamster Council. This well balanced mix includes soya, whole peanuts and sunflower seeds for extra succulent appeal to hamsters.
Gerri Gerbil Original
This low-fat mix is still high in delicious ingredients. It has alfalfa, maize, wheat, naked oats, carrots, peas, raisin, soya and whole pumpkin seeds. It does not include sunflower seeds, since they aren’t always healthy for gerbils.
Reggie Rat Original
A unique vegetarian mixture which is carefully formulated to provide rats with everything they need in a diet to remain in the peak of condition. Soya provides all the protein that a rat needs, while the other ingredients are designed to keep rats healthy, energetic and enthusiastic about their food.
Charlie Chinchilla Original
Alfalfa, grass pellets, wheat bites, peas, maize, raisins, carrots and soya are all added to this high fibre, low fat diet. It does not include peanuts or sunflower seeds as they can contribute too much fat to be healthy for Chinchillas.
